Sept 9th, 1:30pm Dune walk at Sandy Point Beach- September is a great month for
walking in the dunes and along the shore. Just us for a walk through the pine dunes and back along
the short. Sandy Point Beach - at the very southern tip of Plum Island, a classic Atlantic Ocean

The Hike: Try an overnight backpack trip into the pristine Mt Greylock Reservation in Western MA.
It's a great hike for beginning backpacers. We'll hike from Williamstown MA, climbing the beautiful
Hopper Trail to the Mt Greylock's Stony Ledge camp area. The campgroud is hike-in only, making it
natural and quiet. It boasts views of the summitt tower and an old growth forested valley below.
Leave Boston at 8am Saturday, back by Sunday dinner. Moderate 2.5 mile hike, with some long
steady hills but no cliffs or scrambles. Recommended for ages 4+ with some hike experience.

rental equipment for those needing backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, etc. Need help or advice?
We're delighted to share our thoughts. Email email@example.com. For food we recommend you
bring a bag lunch for Saturday, snacks for the hike up and down, plus something for lunch Sunday.
We'l provide an exciting selection of dehydrated backpacking delights for dinner Saturday and
breakfast Sunday then collect fromthose who want to join.
Logisitics: We'll leave at 8am Saturday morning in a loose caravan from 36 Eastern Ave Arlington
MA 02476. Come at 7:30 for coffee if you like. We'll make a mid morning stop in lovely Shelburne
Falls for a snack. We plan to eat Saturday lunch at the trail head in Williamstown around 11 30
before we start. You can join us at any of those points. We'll have a group dinner Saturday night
and group breakfast Sunday morning. Let us know if you choose to join those meals.
IMPORTANT BOOK NOW: Mt Greylock no longer allows multiple site bookings so you'll need to
book your site ASAP as we can't book a block as we've done in years past. The link is: Reserve
