July 4 - No Hike

July 11th - Royalston Falls. Royalston MA 10:30am-
Summer calls for a waterfall! Royalston
Falls is a 45 foot waterfall which has carved out fantastic rock formations. Trustees of Reservations
site. 3/4 mile hike to the Fall.

July 18th - Horn Pond, Winchester/Woburn MA - 10:30 am Horn Pond. It's a beautiful flat walk
along the water. Horn pond is great for strollers and younger kids. It also has some great hidden
natural habitats, unexpected in the suburbs.
Directions: Take Rt 3N in Winchester. Turn right on
Pond Street (no sign!) at the gas station before the Whole Foods Plaza. We'll meet in the parking lot
along the Pond.

July 25th - Estabrook Woods Concord MA 10:30am - Henry David Thoreau called Estabrook a
walker's paradise. Join us as we trace Thoreau's footsteps in this beautiful woods in Concord.

August 1st - Oxbow Reserve - Harvard MA 10:30 am - Return to the scene of our first BSKO
hike. A beautiful flat path along the Nashua River passing beaver lodges and a bird watching hide.

August 8th - Georges Island - A fun ferry ride to the Island where we'll enjoy the new visitor
center, historic fort and fascinating island habitat. Summer Shack concession stand for lunch!

August Camping Opportunities
Lonesome Lake AMC Hut Trip - Aug 21st. Short 1-3/4 mile hike to a staffed hut nestled against a
mountain lake in the White Mountains.Fun family environment in the lodge/bunkhouse. Nature guide
on staff. Beds, dinner and breakfast provided.$106/adult. $62/child. See Lonesome Lake Hut for
details. Kids 3+ with some hiking experience will be comfortable.
Mt Greylock Camping - Aug 28th. A 3 mile hike from Williamstown to a beautiful campground
overlooking an untouched valley and the Greylock summit. Real taste of the unspoiled western
