Join the experienced animal tracks team from Walnut Hill Tracking Center on a tracking hike near the pristine Quabbin Reservoir woods. Last year we saw dozens of fascinating tracks and learned about wonderful habits of New England animals during winter. Register in advance with the Walnut Hill group at Walnut Hill. $25/person fee to Walnut Hill. Snowshoes might be needed if the snow is deep. Walnut HIll and REI both rent them. We can help arrange this. Jan 29 - 1:30 pm- Arlington Great Meadows - Our seasonal visit to the Great Meadow to observe changes in the vernal pond and meadow. We've heard peepers in the Spring, seen firelflies in the Summer. Let's experience winter on the Great Meadow. Meet at Waldorf School on 739 Massachusetts Ave Lexington MA. Feb 12 - 10:30 am Boston Rock Gym - What a blast we had last year! Great, safe climbing gym with belaying ropes and walls full of cool hand holds. KIds are given safety gear, harnesses and instructions, while an expert guides them through the wall climbs. Register in advance for the Youth Session by calling (781) 935-7325.
